Photographing a public figure is always a challenge. Each of them already has a mask — built over time. I am always searching for that space — the moment when the actor forgets to perform, the philosopher stops thinking about what to say, the artist lets down their guard. That moment when the public persona disappears and only the person remains. It rarely happens. But when it does, both the photographer and the person photographed add something to their lives.
