From May 7 to June 29, 2026, Palazzo Esposizioni Roma hosts, as it does every year, the World Press Photo exhibition. On April 9, 2026, the winning photographs of the 69th edition of the prestigious photojournalism contest were announced, while on April 23 the Photo of the Year was proclaimed along with the finalists. The Amsterdam exhibition opened on April 24, launching the traditional international tour. Since 1955, the contest has annually recognized the best professional photographers, helping to build the history of contemporary visual journalism.
